The International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) held its 20th Annual European Congress at the SEC from 4-8 November 2017.

ISPOR was founded in 1995 as an international multidisciplinary professional membership society and works to advance policy, science, and practice of pharmacoeconomics (health economics) and outcomes research (the scientific discipline that evaluates the effect of health care interventions on patient wellbeing including clinical, economic, and patient-centred outcomes).

Overall, the organisation has 9,500 individual and student members from 114 countries and over 8,700 affiliate members from Regional Chapters. The 20th European Annual Congress welcomed 5,000 of these members to the five-day event which took over every meeting space and exhibition centre in the SEC Centre and the SEC Armadillo.

ISPOR were the first client to make use of the brand new SEC Meeting Academy – which occupies the repurposed mezzanine floor of the SEC Centre.
